Mini Pantomime at the Library
Bispham CastAways performed the mini pantomime, Jack And The Beantin by Peter Bond and directed by Hayley Price, at Moor Park library for end of half term fun on May 30th 2026 at 1pm. Everyone had a great time with lots of joining in plus some bonus sweets for the boys and girls!
The action centres around Jack trying to marry his girlfriend, Beth, but with no money and no prospects his Mum, Mrs Broke, thinks it will never happen unless Jack sells the family cow, Gertrude. So Beth and Jack take Gertrude to market but before they can arrive, a mysterious Beanseller offers Jack a magic tin of baked beans in exchange for Gertrude. Of course, silly Jack thinks it’s a great idea!
This was a perfect introduction to theatre and pantomime for young children, done under Bispham CastAways’ charitable ethos of making theatre accessible to all. The CastAways hopes to bring more performances to Moor Park Library very soon!
